Hey Rothu, Are you happy to do ETA's and melways refs as you know the exact location of the PBT carpark?

Yup. I'll work out the times, logistics and placements tonight.

Righto! Here we go! ;D

BEDFORD RUN Sunday 21/3/10 8)

Bedford Park, Bedford Rd. Ringwood. Melways M49 J8. 1200-1300hrs.
I reckon if we all check out each others Van here, We'll enjoy knowing what Van has got what on the convoy.

Down Warrandyte/Ringwood Rd. 1300hrs
Depending on numbers, there's a fair chance we could be split up because of traffic lights, roundabouts, etc through Ringwood until we reach the point of none. I suggest the party of Bedfords that make it through whatever broke the chain pulls over to wait for the rest at M35 H11 (or thereabouts) as this is on the inside of a big sweeping right turn and after all the traffic controls of Ringwood, then we take a free road together all the way to Warrandyte.
The first driver to pull over should consider room behind him to allow room for the other Bedfords following. Once all together again, then off we go. CONVOY! If we can bring our CBs to keep in communication, even better.

Pound Bend Tunnel Park. M23 A11 1400hrs
I've allowed an hour but it'll be about 30mins travel. Just in case.
Go through the Round-about at the bridge in Warrandyte. Just as you come out of Warrandyte, on the right you'll see Stiggarts Reserve with Scouts and Restaurant. The turn-off is the second RH road after that: Everard Drive just below M23 C12, we'll be slowing traffic right down here to a stop waiting to turn, if you want to pass SLOWLY on the inside to take other roads in, do so CAREFULLY!

I'll bring along a 4 burner bbq, meat, condiments and table. Bring your own chair, meat, salad, and whatever you'd usually have for a bbq. I'll be bring heaps of meat, and a rear tractor inner tube, wetsuit, paddles and helmet to go through the tunnel (depending on insanity). If you'd like to brave the tunnel, you can use the tube and gear or bring your own vessel and gear.
Definitely not for the faint of heart. But a lot of hardcore fun. By the weather, it looks like it'll be fine, even hot. Bring swimming gear as you can sit in the falls and experience hydrotherapy.

From there in time, I have no idea.

Select, copy and paste this to your text editor and print it.

On a different note but just as in harmony, there is a Facebook group: Bedford Vans Australia.
I've joined. What are your feelings of posting a truncated message about our run? Do we want to have others with Bedfords join in, unknown, but expanding the membership? Or is this just a BUGA run, for us that have spent time getting to know each other over the 'Net to meet in the metal and flesh?

Thanks for putting this all together Rothu! Much appreciated =) I’ve got a table i can bring along too and should be runnin the fridge, if anyone wants to keep anything cool .. I don’t see any probs with advertising the run on facebook, it could bring more and wider love to the BUGA community, once they meet us and realise how awesome we all are, LOL! But if others want to just keep it ‘in the family’ i would also support that notion ..
