Bedford ??
« on: January 31, 2010, 05:44:48 PM »
Today I was pulled up on the way I said bedford. he said bed FORD
This got me to thinking if there was a proper way to say bedford.

Thinking about it, I say bedfid

I suppose it is bed-ford but how do you say it ?
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Maybe it's a Kiwi thing, but I think I've only ever heard Bedfid.
Funny old life.

It'll always be Bed-FID to me. I've never heard anyone call it a Bed-FORD.

Same as I also drive a Su-BARU. Anyone who thinks it is a SOO-ba-ROO can f**k off.

i reckon BEDDY sorts it out!!! Even in a chinese or sout affrikan or scottish, irish or even south mollocan accent it cant be ficked, facked, farked or even fooked up ..  hang on :o....sigh... cept for our illustreous south sea crew ..thinkin about it i can hear you guys already ho ho ho sorri... wrong.. skuppy you tuthid, we wud say....yus... uts in th chully bun next to me BIDDY... the uniqueness of your dialect prevails in all aspects of the word.... i hav no choice  but to concede & pay you yor deserved homage on this matter  :'(....;)
I,d rather sell my...mum,....than my bedford!!
