I was looking at a sales brochure for a CF2, and that gives the load height as 600 mm. you should be able to work it out from there.
On the UK site, there is a link in "A short history of the CF" to many sales brochures with all sorts of interesting information. If it won't come up for you , PM me.

Thanks Jeff but if I'm looking at the same brochure then that is taken at the back which is going to vary with load. I need the front and it needs to be to the wheel arch as that is the adjacent reference point.

Rouge, mine sits on L-740mm  R-740mm sitting on 205x75x14 with a clearance of 100mm between guard and tyre. Bas take into account mine was a Mk1 turned Mk2.

Thanks Bas. Sounds like you might be a bit high in the front. Might be the weight of the fibreglass shell on the back?

Rogue, van has always sat this high even with the mk1 front on, have checked other ambo's with the factory fitted 202 and they sit the same. Had a talk to a guy who build these, did the engine swap front discs etc and he said they also reset the front end when the 202's were fitted. Well aleast I have the set up for the transplant to an 8 one day.

Thanks very much. Looking like around the 725mm mark might be the one to go for although that's with just 2 measurements.

Anyone else? Some of the UK guys perhaps?

I am not from UK but from UA. :-) My Beddy has the next dimensions what you asking about: front - 712 mm and rear - 714 mm (and present time, no cargo inside). But I don't know for sure is that standard dimensions for my van. It is CF280 Mk2 1980. LWB. GM 2,3L diesel. ZF 4-speed gearbox.

Hi Outriding

That looks like a nice, relatively standard, facelift SWB CF you have there. Would you mind cruising over to this thread and doing a quick couple of measurements for me? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks very much if you're able.

I will measure it but I can only do that next weekend.
It's all stock so you can compare the original heights.

I took this from a 1984 spec brochure, does it help?

I have already got that thanks. Grabbed it from the UK site. The interesting thing is that it gives all the other heights as 'laden' or 'unladen' but not the 'overall height'.

Abodator, Your van is a mk 1 the Mk2 came out in late 84. The Mk1 facelift, with the square plastic grill like Outriding's and mine came out in late 80 or early 81.
Most people prefer the look of the Mk 1 and it is no different mechanically than the facelift model.
Funny old life.
