Grill Mesh
« on: January 02, 2010, 10:26:42 AM »
Hi Guys, this is pbrobably aimed at car builders, but I have been looking for sheets of mesh simular to what they use in fire place screens and front grills of these 4cyl pocket rockets. I have tried all my steel suppliers where I get my stock from, but none of them seem to be able or bothered ordering in the small hole mesh I'm looking for. I would prefer to buy in large sheets if possible, there are a few jobs I want it for, my beddy grill and fireplace screen i'm fabricating. I'm in brissy, SEQ. Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

or find a builder of some product that uses the kind of stuff ur looking for.
u may be able 2 buy offcuts from them at a cheap price.

ask the main supplier for their bigest customers product information, they may well be chucking more than ur needs to the scrap metal merchants, try scrap metal merchants 2, leave ur contact number with them.

Also try cyclone security screens Co. as there's a nice SS mesh you can get , maybe even fly wire / screen doors manufacturers for eg pet mesh screens..... Dano

Thanks Guys, I have a call into autobarn now, but the screen door might be a shot, everyone will sell me enough for a pocket rocket, but I'm driving a bedford, no comparison.

Hi Kimbasound, I had a call back from autobarn last night, they sell sheets, 1200mmx600mm $50 sheet, aluminum, but he gave his suppliers number so I will try him today and let everyone know how I go. Stay tuned......... ;D worse case it's off to supercheap or autobarn....
