Whats the tranys selector called

Hi can any one tell me what the trans selector cover is called ie P R N D 2 1. I have a trimatic and would like any advice on what type of set up to use, I need it for a road worthy, Its just a cover but you need it to show what gear your in. (v8 with trimatic) Any advice is totally welcome thanks guys paul

shifter cover

original bedford have round knob at top, after market ones trend to use more the T bar type.

You could probably adapt one out of something else or make your own, just use  strip of something with hole in center for stick, slides just on slides

busykiwi Yeah i could do with alittle help. i got a trimatic V8 for my kids to chill with down the beach Im not great with mechanics but fair with interior I need some things done to put it on the road ie the trans selector set up.  You no anyone in geelong area that could help me

able is handy.. i nominate him!!!!! hahaha im driving to geelong on friday, if ive got time i might drop in..

shirfter selectors are a pain in the butt! i tried to adapt something on jak's van. in the end i ended up using one i had lying around and taking the clear bit out. heating up some perspex to replace it and writing my own markings on there. but it was a real nightmare. i cut and welded the linkages tring to get it to sit at the right place.
