Spreadsheet of suppliers and parts needed
« on: September 21, 2009, 08:08:44 PM »
Hi There,
I posted this inside another posting then found this section.   :o

I'm wondering if there is someway on this forum where we can have an excel spreadsheet for us to update with part numbers/replacement part costs and contact details.  That way everyone knows to go to the one spot to check for suppliers and what parts are available.
EG didn't I see somewhere that LJ Steering rack boots fit a CF steering rack?  This is important info and could be kept in one spot for future reference.

Cheers

Neil

what a great idea , and point proven by craig
was it lh or lj
if craig isn't around to say what he reckons, we just refer to the magic parts matching list, anytime of the broken down day or night,
no sifting through through posts or waiting for a response, while the kids sit in the busted beddie on the side of the highway saying "why is daddy in the internet cafe?"
nice one willo

I just took a boot into repco and they matched it with off the shelf universal fitting ones - standard stock.

I too want to know where to get these bushes.....

I have replaced the steering coupling bush..U can get at Pedders Suspension

But there is a UNI Joint on the shaft..... that joins above the steering coupling bush?

Has anyone had success in finding a replacement?

Mine has play in it and vibrates thru to the steering wheel

i got a reco one at a beddy wreaker in melbourne.. i had to swap the old one so he could send it to the reco place. but like any wreaker wouldn't tell me who that was. i tryed a tail shaft place first and he said he couldn't do it. though i only tried one place. so give a few tail shaft places a bell first they may be able to reco the uni joint.
