Transferring money across the ditch
« on: September 08, 2009, 06:35:22 AM »
Is there a cheap way of sending money between NZ and Aus?

The reason I ask is that a couple of the guys here have been after parts that I no longer have a need for due to various customisations and I'm quite happy to give the parts away as I would rather someone got some use out of them rather than throwing out a perfectly good part which kind of irritates me. All I would like is the postage reimbursed.

The easiest way is just to transfer money between bank accounts but the previous experience I had with SandB was that the bank was going to charge him $30 to transfer $10. Bit ridiculous really.

Any ideas chaps?

western union or paypal

western union costs a little
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

you can do a money order but that cost, ???  you can do paypal but that cost, ???  western union, they recomend dont use them, ???   you can change the dollar at you local bank but they charge you for that to, ???  nz and australia dont have a banking relationship between the to countrys, westpac anyway, and westpac is aussie owned, and as far as i no this applys to all the other banks aswell, i no this because iv'e done the exercise, the easiest and quickest way for me anyways was paypal so go fiqure, you think in this day and age this exercise would be simple without having to take out a morgage just to pay the god dame bank fee's ::)
