4.11 Dual wheel Bedford Diff Wanted
« on: August 31, 2009, 01:02:30 PM »
I have just had a diff put into my cabover motorhome, and was told by the person who put it in that they were replacing my 4.11 with another of the same ratio.  It turns out that this new one is a 5.22 ratio and way too low.  Does anyone hopefully in or around Perth have a Bedford 4.11 diff in reasonable condition that they would be willing to sell or maybe swap.  Would be willing to travel up to a 300 or 400km radius from Perth.  If you can help please get in touch as they way it is at the moment makes it very hard to use as motor screaming when speed goes over 70kmh. Thanks Ron

im fairly sure that dual diffs didnt come in 4.11.

i think they only came 5.2 and 4.9? i think

only short wheel base diffs came with 4.8 and 4.11

was the diff you replaced a single wheeler or duel?

cheers

Thanks John, would really appreciate it if you could find the number from the Quokka ad.  We are looking around madly but not having much luck.
The diff that came out of the vehicle was from a Ford transit which was put in several years ago while we were travelling in Qld, as we were having the same problem then trying to find a Bedford diff.  We are willing to swap the 5.22 for a higher ratio diff if need be.
Thanks for eveyones input. Ron

if you have to go down the 9" road , ask Shannon at Performance unlimited(welshpool), he imported a few of them early in the year, good luck with it. Dan
Can I go play now...?
