My grey SWB came with a rear seat in there. It is in front of the bed and folds up and down. I did post pics here somewhere ???  When we got it registered here in WA we were told that the seat was illegal and we were not to use it. I told the guy that I use it as a barrier for my dogs. I fold it down and forward and they cannot get access to the front. We had to take the seat belts out, but was able to keep the seat for the barrier.
What you looking at?

hmmmm i wonder sometimes what laws to follow.... we are on land and yet our courts are Admiralty law or commercial courts....

i remember writing the road traffic authority in geelong asking them about the law.... here is what i asked them...

Quote
can you supply me with any law under common law that requires me to have a license or registered vehicle under the following provisions.

if in fact the operator of the privately owned automobile is a flesh and blood human operator and any other flesh and blood humans are in fact guests and not paying for services to the operator and no cargo is being transported for profit.

i warn you for your own protection that misrepresenting a statute as a law is a criminal offense.

and the answer i got was...

Quote
Thank you for your inquiry to VicRoads regarding case law.

VicRoads is a Statutory Authority governed by Statute law and could point you to the relevent statute law if requested. While case law exists that provides interpretation of meaning of statute law, VicRoads is not the appropriate agency to provide case law studies. You should seek independent legal advice on this matter.
