Weber 32/36 carby???
« on: August 15, 2009, 08:44:55 PM »
Hey Guys, have any of you out there in Beddy Land fitted a weber 32/36 carby to your red 202 motors. If you have how does it perform and did it need rejetting?
Cheers in advance Wayne.

I have had a few enquires from BUGA members as to my Weber set up on my blue engine
here are a few pics with how i connected hoses etc...hope this helps...
i made the pix big for detail...

will dig around for the jet sizes..when im at home next..on the road at present

from memory  main jet was  down to 165?
secondary was 180
idle was 65

i had it put on the dyno when i built the engine...
so would have to pull it apart to be totally sure
but originally as its off a 4.1l ford engine
my blue 202 is a 3.3l..it bogs down unless u get it rejetted..

Hi marky, thanx for the great pix mate, gonna help heaps. Couple of questions tho, On first shot, is that hose next to the fuel line going to the manifold? Also on pic 2 the hose coming out the very bottom heading down to were?? The wire on sender above it goes to were? The Auto choke wire goes to were?  By the way, love the air cleaner set up. I think the adaptor I got of redline (part no 10-218 )must have been for the 32/36 and mine is a 34/34?? I'm curios to know if yours is the 32/36??Mine looks exactly the same in every way on the outside. I'm gonna try mine on first before re-jetting but keen to know what your jet sizes are exactly. Cheers mate.

Thanks for the info Marky but your carby looks like a 34adm weber. I think the 32/36 will suit the red 202 motor better no pollution stuff. Yeah my next question was the same where did you source the snorkel kit from dude that looks great?
Cheers Wayne

what do they go like with a webber?
i know the 202 blue motor are a bit more extreme than the 202 red motor.
ie blue 202 have bigger inlet ports n inlet manifold., and maybe bigger valves?(not really sure about that 1)
and ive heard the blue 202 cam are a bit wilder than the red 202 cam? can anyone clarify this?
be interesting 2 know for sure.
i gave a recond blue 202 and auto to a friend a few years ago 2 put into a torana lj 4 door,
he recond it flew, but crashed it shortly after, what a waste. ::) :-\
someone gave me a low km complete just minus fuelpump (got about 5 in the parts shed) red 253 and auto today, not sure what 2 do with it yet.
might have a go of transforming a suzuki seirra 4x4 into a v8 lawnmower 2 slash the paddocks,
i recon it might just work.

-Idle 60

Jets inside carby
