hey able yeh i bought a vk efi manifold from the wreckers a little while back for 5 bucks cause it didnt have all the petrol stuff with it. bloke thought it was useless until i told him i was running straight gas (after i bought it of course) hahaha then he was spewen.

so let us know how you go with this. the manifold will act as a tunnel ram effect and produce more power. so they say.

i think the issue that you will face trying to get it to fit the red head is you also have to fit an exhaust around it as well.. now the efi exhaust wont fit neither will the red motor one. id say its much easier  to change the head to a blue or black. you just ahve to drill out a few new holes in the water jacket. more info on oldholden.com

cheers

I always thought they would be an easy manifold to modify and run a side draught weber (or something
a long those lines) on if you didnt have a gas set up.

just a thought.  :)
And you thought owning a bedford was going to be easy.

thanks for the info guys my mind is ticking!

BlackBedford, the mag is "high-tech performance" the guy who had the manifold lent me the mag so i can have a good look.

it does show what looks to be the manifold directly mounted on to a standard red.

what sort of price are we talking about with cam shafts?

just got of the phone to geelong's no1 engine mod stop...

asked them what is the go change heads/grind out ports on the red head ect ect..

they have done them for red 202's before but its been a while, they build up the manifold to match the red head and machine it flat, it costs between $80-$100.

i thing he said they grind out some of the middle separating part aswell, im not sure if that is what he said as the phone connection was not the best.

so marty your first guess was how they usually do it.... i think they also grind up cam shafts for less the half price.
