Hey looks good Ben....Just one thought, what if you put a indent in the top of the arm rest so it could work like a finger groove for closing the door? But i like it ;D ;D ;D cheers...johnno

put a subbie in each door and get one side of your hips massaged by the bass. But seriously what would the sound quality be like? In the 80s I placed speakers low down near the footwells in the front doors so the speakers gave off a sort of bass effect  (wasn't too bad then but pretty shite compared to todays car stereos),  no need to do that now with the subbies and amps being available.

Dunno bro what effect are you after? just a flashy door panel or better sound? personally I reckon a map pocket and a smaller speaker closer to the front of the door would be more practicable, good idea though, also why not have a flat bit where you can mount switches for electric mirrors or windows controls and you definately need a handle that you slam the door shut with!  ;D

check out some of the later model yank vans from the factory, they actually pay designers to create stuff that works, I would be guided by their expertise in placement of door features
ekm ...... never lead with your chin, let others lead with theirs
