Fiberglass CF parts now avail in NZ
« on: June 03, 2009, 08:33:46 PM »
Hi Team

I am happy to report I will be making fiberglass CF body parts here in Northland NZ very shortly.
After discussions with Barry, I have secured the ability to manufacture from his moulds and I will also be making a modifed version of his Mk1 nose for MK2 CF's.

I will also be doing flairs, side skirts, aerofoils and overtime developing some new items.

I have spoken with Ben in Ausi and in the near future I may be doing some reciprocal trading with Ben, which will allow us both to expand our product range.

I will also make one off items on a per job basis and for those of you who require it, I am able and happy to fit moulding's and finnish to any stage, basic fit and blended to painted turn key finnish.
I can also modify or repair any components you may already have.

If you have any questions, just shoot me a PM

Cheers
Rusty

As soon as I am able I will post photos

No Sorry Ben I know they are in Hamilton, Im waiting for the guy to come back to me with pic's etc.
Im pushing him as hard as I dare too, but im looking at designing some of my own also, im just sussing out a workshop to lease right now.

As an aside, would S13 nissan Silvia drift style moulds be of interest to you, full body kit ??

I will keep you posted though.

Cheers

Hi Kirk

I hear what your saying about a more sporty side skirt, take some pics of the ones you like and send them to me, if im going to make side skirt moulds, we may as well make stuff people like and want.

As for using something designed for another vehicle, it does'nt usually work, for a start they wont be deep enough from top to bottom, you will likely have to alter the length and so on.
It is normally faster and cheaper to build a mould from scratch, and if you want to copy the styling you can just add that in as you build.

I will take another look at the black van in the nats pics, to see what your on about, id like to do some really funky flairs as well, but i have to make real life mock ups, as i suck as an artist when it comes to drawing.

If you want to get a look at the basic nose shape we are starting off with take a look at Bas's beddy, he has the nose.
I will be doing an altered version of this and a Mk2 version which im intending will sweep down from just below the Mk2 grill.

If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know it would be cool to have beddy owners have some input in to the body stylings.

If you want to do something radical and very secret squirrell, drop me a PM and we'll keep it hush hush.

Cheers
Rusty

Hey Bas we could send them all the MK2 rust, we'll be able to get more of that in the box.
The Ausi's are pretty sharp I recon they could build a few Mk2's out of it, no worries. ::) ::)

What do you think eh  ;)
