It's good to see the campers going strong! I never paid much attention to them on the old site, it was hard to see alot of things on the old site... lol

You boys have tempted me somewhat, especially after seeing Clance's van it was a real 'G' up... I want to get a SWB Van or SWB Cab Chassis to use as my daily and then take my LWB off the road and start transforming it. I'm tossing up whether or not to go Camper setup or to go deluxe passenger vehicle, or a mix of both... 6 single seats that transform into a bed and a table with all sorts of mod cons built into all of the nooks and crannies. At this stage who knows? but you have inspired me and that's all that is needed...  ;)

hey Jock, the beauty with beddies is that yu can do heaps with the interior space, I owned mainly custom street vans that carried tools during the week and dirt bikes and little people on weekends, since gaining the campa I have discovered an entirely new world of comfort and convenience, wouldn't go back to a standard custom interior now, i have spent too many weekends away in my own motel room on wheels, nothing like backing up to a beach or river, doing what ever it is your into then opening the back doors, cooking a hot meal, grabbing a coldie or two or three out of the fridge and throwing the dirty dishes in the sink and laying back on the bed for a nana nap .... even better now that me got a great audio system and dvd player ...... I've only ever stayed in a couple of caravan parks and it was great to be able to close the doors and lock out the holiday crowd ...... yep gimme da good life  ;D

Eddy,

I hear what your saying... I use mine for transporting my dirtbikes to and from ride spots and have slept in it a couple of times, it's got those lugs on the side of the roof for an awning so I just wack a tarp up and stretch it out to a couple of tree branches and the van becomes the 'base station' we eat, sleep, cook, drink, smoke - all in and around the van. It's got some good low watt interior lights that make a nice but very yellow light.

My CF just won't stop impressing me! My missus is O/S at the moment which left me to move house solo.
A bit of a slog but the Beddy just ate my home contents! 3 trips and it was done, quite amazing how much you can fit into the CFL.

I'm thinking deck the interior and tow the bikes with a trailer.
There is just so much room in the back I don't think I can help myself - I gotta deck it out!

I don't own a camper, but I do have a LWB. I go away to work in it from anywhere between a couple of days to a few weeks. Tools go under the Queen bed so they're never in the way. And with duel batteries, inverter, fridge, good strereo, wirless broadband and DVD I'm in heaven and wherever I go.

onya Resto... I am a carpenter so fitting out was easy for me as well, not so much talent on the mechanical side though, I tend to work  the probs as they arise but have learnt alot during the journey. Are you replacing it as standard or thinking of designing something entirely different from original? have a look at my gallery there are a couple of interior shots, the bed/sette is at the front only because this model does not come with a side door, I have had beds at the back doors but it was restricting in what you could load. I like the idea of the cabinets in the rear doors though they are real handy, there are other campa owners who I am sure are only too eager to share tips what works what doesn't etc .... take care Eddy

Hi Eddy yes my campa was fitted out the same as yours but it has the side door wich was unusable it was all stuffed pineboard turned to weetbix so it all came out I'm going to completly change it around I have moved the windows to the back & will be putting single beds down each side the one on passenger side will encroach on side door a bit but my missus is only short so I will make it about 5 foot 6 inches long Down the back between the beds there will be a shower toilet cubicle The fridge will go at the end of the other bed behinde drivers seat & I hope there will be enough room on the side door for some kinde of kitchen hope to make the seats swivel 90 degrees so we can use them to eat at in bad weather Thjere wont be much room in there but I think i can get it all in heres hoping Cheers Reid

sounds good, the shower will be an interesting set up with the pop top, have you looked at the newer campas, they have a kitchen cabinet that swings out when the side door is opened., gives an option of inside or outside cooking, will the kitchen be too heavy for the door hinges?, also when you are parked on any sort of a slope the angle is much greater when the side door is opened  at 90 degrees to the van body, may cause the contents of your saucepans to spill out, it is a good idea to put an awning on the pop top so when its up you have a protected area when cooking out of the van, its better to cook with the side door at right angles as it gives you a wind break, if its open fully you will be standing outside the awning, just a thought. I would prefer a side door on my campa but too much trouble to adapt whats there so all our access is rear door only not as handy if you want to sit under an awning attached to the side of the pop top but we normally tow a trailer with us that has a cooking bench and water and gas, also carries a canoe/wind surfers and moutain bikes and a little 1970s 80cc motorbike if we need to. Missus is still set on a caravan though so maybe this summer its me on my lonesome out camping  ;) she doesn't like the bed in the campa reckons its not a motel size. does me though,

Yeah Eddy iv seen thoes thats the ideah the heavy stuff will go in a drawer under the part of the bed that encroaches the side door it will slide inside & out it already has a slide on awning so it will be cool eating outside Cheers Reid

Hey Eddy as you'r campa is set up the same as mine was where are your batteries mine was under the passingers seat but I had to shift it as i cut down the bases to suit the new seats the batteries were never underneath because there must have been a water tank there originally & no room for a battery As my new water tank will be going inside under the bed approx 80 Ltrs I think I will make a new box that will hold 3 battries & put in the original place Cheers Reid
