funny you should mention that, we were out yesterday and driviing at about 70 kays next to a 4x4 and the noise from the tyres was ...... well to be polite rather loud and I would consider annoying on long trips, at $250 a tyre I wouldn't go there. I am considering light truck tyres but I am towing a caravan, there are a few pics of 4x4 tyres on beddies in Craigs gallery .....
ekm ...... never lead with your chin, let others lead with theirs

i wasnt thinking big nobbile 4x4 tyres more like the standard ones you get on landcruisers and such to give the van a lifted look
im just worried about the extra tipping over factor

actually come to think of it, have a look in my gallery at the yellow beddie with 4x4 tyres, I think you'll agree that van doesn't have any rolling issues   ;D

Hey mate
what are you trying to get out of the 4x4 tyre?
you can get some very nice on road 4x4 tyres but there is a bit to think about
size, make. Some makes are way hard then others etc etc.
If you would like some help in this area I was a tyre fitted for firestone NZ for around seven year.
Good luck   ;)
Steve

To be honest I don't want to take it off roading or anything like that. I was just thinking of putting 4x4 tyres on it to give it a tough lifted look without actually getting a lift kit for the van. Also being a dual wheel base is there wider tyres I can get on the back so the van doesn't look retarded with just single back wheels? Any help from you would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
Jak

hey bro do you have a bigger pic of your van so we have more idea what your talking about?

i think i understand whats going on. someone has put a single rear wheel diff in your van and you still have the flares on? or its still too narrow in the rear..

yes you can get fat tyres. yes they are expensive.. and yes you need to buy deep dish fat rims to go with the big fat tyres and yes they are expensive as well..

i dont think 4wd tryes will solve your problem bro.. sorry.

ben
