Hey mitch, you have a talent. What can you do with these. Can you do this color and add these tail lights.

Hey Rogue, and outriding, you are dead right, they dont fit, we spent a wasted day trying, and they could of, but would of looked s**t house, so i did not run with them. I just thought we could do a photoshop to see what i missed out on. I now have settled for a new set of lights and they look good, not mickey mouse, but i like them as a plan B. Here is why they did not fit.

we spent 7hrs deforming and abusing that corner, trying everything to get them to work, in the end i had to give in, and go to plan B. The lights i am using now are more of a flat panel intall, so we dont have the problem of curves. I really wanted something that no one else had used or thought of, if we had of pulled it off, it would of been good. I have to say that plan B is original, i have not seen them on any other van or car. We have them tacked in at the moment, so when my metal guy turns up again, we are going to finish them off once and for all.

Hey benny, mate i agree sort of, who cares if someone copies mine, and they will copy bits i suppose when they see the finished van. And if i replicated everything out there already, mine would be just another van, and no one would take a second look. There is 2 trains of thought, 1 being guys like you that restore and keep the daily drivers on the road, then there is the other side, guys that like to customise, and create something different. There is no right or wrong ben, just think if i wanted to have the same grill and lights and scooby flare kits as a lot of other vans, mate mine would of been finished by now, and half the price. I could of stuck with drum brakes instead of disc, but it is just a personal choice, which is what beddys are for me. All i know benny is, that for over 20yrs i have had just one dream, and now i am doing it, although slowly. For me beddy's are a real passion, not just something to drive, for me i feel something when i am driving my van, when people stop you and ask about the van. I guess for me, this comparison, the last hotrod show i went to, 80% of the cars were commodores and falcons, half had engines sticking out of the bonnet, and the rest spent thousands on their motors and wheels, and peanuts on the paint and body, point is, by the time i had looked at 20 or so cars, the next 20 were the same as the first 20, i was'nt seeing anything different, i heard one couple say the same thing, lets go, they are all the same.  At the end of the day we all have a thought on what is a good looking van, just on here there are so many ideas, most vans on here are daily drivers, but look at how many ways people do their daily drivers. I guess when i show my finished van on here ben, some will love it, some wont, but people will comment on my mirrors, grill, lights so on, everyone will have an opinion, 6months later i will be enjoying it, and we will be commenting on someone elses van. Vans on here are like the people, we are all different, that life.  ;D

A nearly standard Beddie is a joy to drive and own, but a custom one is all that, and also a work of art.
The creator is an artist whose medium is metal (and who also has a Bedford fetish) ;D
Funny old life.
