why not a windscreen and its souroundings ( steel frame)
from anouther car and graft it in
just as wide but not as tall
say a 4x4 etc....
wont have to cut it then...
there isn't anything as wide as a bedford, nor the same or similar shape

the judge sunk the original screen into the firewall
that yellow uk drag van laid the screen back
i'm hoping to get mine cut down

Do you think the insurance company will give you free replacement glass cover when you finally insure it?  ;)

I doubt they would insure it as an every day driver, and the hot rod cover you can get only gives you 5000 k's a year

Hey Busy, mate i had a look at the pics in your album, and let me say, between you and rogue, you guys are the kings of kiwi beddy custom, awesome mate. I remember the first time i saw your site showing the build, and that was years ago now, how far is your van off being finished, i mean do you have all the fabrication done and its ready to go back together, or are you still fabricating, not that i would think there is much more you can do to it, it is a custom show van. Is it going to have a flash paint job, airbrushing or a plain paint. I can't wait to see you and rogues fully painted and side by side, will be a great day for custom beddy's.

Thanks George, plenty more talented people than me out there, Rogue, Jeff, Garry, Bas ... all craftsmen

yeah my van has been going on a bit unfortunity, I'm not building it for a show van, I'm just building it *add reason here - am sure there was one*.
I have finished modifying it (hopefully), am in the process of the panel work now. I still have to build the dash and engine cover but everything else is pretty much done, back 2/3 I've wired up, just the dash to go, and with the air con unit it's a nightmare, all fuel, brake and water lines/pipes are in, engine runs, just don't want to drive it yet - else i wont stop driving it lol
My friends reckon get sponsorship from the energy drink companies or sound places and paint to suit but I'm thinking more of finding an up and coming airbrusher, someone trying to break into the scene and let them show there stuff so can hopefully get them a foot in the door. I just want flames on it somewhere

I get inspired by coming here everyday, everyone here is different and has some great ideas, lots of great vans on here, that's what makes it so great.

edit: Ok i just thought of something I might be changing, the more I look at the side of the custom van the more I miss the CF window inserts, so if I do anymore mods it will be putting them back in, oh and I haven't finished the bonnet, that might be split in two yet (opening sideways)

Didn't you flatten out the side panels on the custom? If so and you decide to put some glass back in, frenching them would look really cool.

Put a mural over it and you'll never notice they've gone.

John, John, John. You know the golden rule of modifying a Beddie.

"The only thing that fits straight in a Beddie is........"  :P
