how well would a good thick paint on sound deadner work if you apply many coats to the floor and walls?

i recon it would be the way to go bro!! i have a gelcoat gun im gunna buy brush on sound deadner and thin it down enough to spray it on. cheaper that way rather than buying the spray on stuff..

oh yeh i already have sound deadner on the floor and it works well. want to do underneath as well and firewall i supose the walls could have a quick coat also

that is very good to hear ben... i cant afford the more expensive options...

yes underneath and on top for the floor. when you say fire wall are you just talking inside? i was just going to paint the engine bay with quick dry chassis black but if its safe i can give it a lick of deadner as well on the engine side?

ps... i didn't die... it rained for two/three months solid in geelong and their was no way i was spraying in that weather.... i just locked up the garage and saved some money for the two months....

i want my bedford but i didn't want it having rust issues early because i didn't have enough sense to know when not to work on it

I have deadner on the engine bay area, paint over top, then clear. works well as long as all the other holes are filled ofcourse

ok.. the chassis black enamel will stick to anything... i didn't think to coat up the fire wall and then paint over it...

you learn something new every day. thankyou.

No Marky, Eddie asked the same question, it's an air box VN Holden, dam motor won't run well with out it, had an ramflow pod / filter on it but coudn't get enough air in, runs with an electric supercharger a fan unit that receives the air and forces it out, its controled by a switch. think it runs at about 4psi, but makes a big difference to the power, will place a photo of it on here tomorrow. Don't need a heater as I use the LPG blow heater thats in the back of the van, just has a couple of tubes up to the front, flick a switch and the heater starts up. Bas

get a heater out of one of those toyota custom vans, they have them under the seats or toyota surf in the centre consul, they work well, have fitted them into a few customers vans cheers stevo
