Adjustable Upper Control Arms
« on: December 10, 2008, 01:02:07 PM »
Gday All

Do you want to lower your CF and not wear tyres? Are your front tyres wearing uneven? Then you may need to read this!

I am taking orders to have Adjustable Upper Control Arms made. These will be made for us by McDonald Bros Racing.

Costs at this stage will be somewhere around the $700 a pair. Once numbers are confirmed a set price will be made.

I am hoping that we will be able to use an alternative Ball Joint than a Bedford one, say a Holden for ease of replacement later on.

If you are interested post your reply. Once I know how many and the price a 50% deposit will be required.

***Please note these items may or may not be legal in your state. You may need to check with your RTA.***

Cheers

Craig

Wow these look great!

I take it the strength will be no less than what we're all currently using?

What's involved with fitting? Are they a straight swap or do you need to modify the main cross member befor fitment can me made?

The arms, I hope, will be a direct replacement. Thanks to Ben I have a complete front end that I can take to them for sampling.

These arms should allow for up to 5deg - + adjustment so about 10deg in total.

G'day

A question?
What about being able to use Holden stub axles?
It would make big brake and power steering conversions easier.

Regards
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

sounds like a great idea.. but how hard would it be to modify the lower wishbone to fit holden ball joint and tie rod ends..? that would be the only setbacks. anyone know of anyone fitting holden ball joints to the lower wishbone?

because you dont wanna spend 700 on upper wishbones and another 700 on lower as well.. that would cost me more than i paid for my van.

cheers
