Bedford cf parts

Hi guys, just purchased my first Bedford camper and am in need of some parts etc, it’s a 202 red Holden 3 speed Trimatic 1975cf. It’s my first project so will be learning a lot but if anyone can help out with parts in Melbourne that would be great. I do need a bonnet but understand they are hard to get otherwise I guess I’ll have to go fibreglass, also some seat mounts and possibly seats but any help with who to go to in general will be appreciated 👍🏽

Welcome bloke. I'm sure someone on here will have a spare bonnet, panels often show up on ebay or gumtree. As far as seats go, the original type aren't particularly comfortable! My first bedford I used VK-VL commodore buckets which bolted up to the original bases with a bit of work. Centre Rd wreckers in springvale used to have the occasional bedford show up, worth a call.

Thanks mate ill give them a call. Hopefully some people on here have some things I’m after too!! I’m after a heater box with fan too so my dimisters work which is missing and a seal kit too which I’ve found on rare spares so ill look further into it as I’m starting with the cab, about to start some rust spots for repair then thinking of getting it wrapped so i can get it club reg once I’ve fixed these few things i got a list of from mechanic. Any recommendations on tyre places too would be appreciated too and then I’m well and truly on track. At least once the cab and mechanics things are fixed the camper is pretty good as is to use until i renovate down the track. Thanks for your help with seat recommendations too!!!!

I too have recently acquired a 75 cf and the seats came from a volvo 244 ... previous owner said it was an easy conversion to make. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Hi Bugas, just to jump on the thread about seats, Volvo, (iced vovos) seats where what my slider had when I bought it, damn heavy, probably fitted before engineering was required, or just done anyway. My standard seat for the 280 was recovered with new foam also, cost, $450. But I m all for stock standard on at least one project! My Auto Sleepers camper seats fold flat to make two single beds in the front, no I havent tried to sleep in it yet! And a close look at the build plate on the slider, only one seat fitted, a real working van. A seat story for your interest.

Yeah I would be interested how comfy sleeping on the seats,
The one seat on playe would be for Van's that went to Australia post, thetes an  awesome one been donated to sydney's bus museum,  went and checked it out a few yrs back...I'll see if I can find a pic....

Yes the camper single fold back seats not for a serious nights sleep. Love the Slider in the museum, I wonder if it would be possible to find the list of body numbers bought by APost, to see if it matches a plate, particularly one seaters. Tax payers money long since spent.
