new 202
« on: April 25, 2018, 09:54:09 AM »
Oh my lordy be! picked up the Freedom Roller last night and tried out the new 202. i really wasn't sure what to expect and i was hoping to notice some difference from the 173. I tell you folks i was not disappointed - the difference is astromical to say the least. With the turbo 700 and 3:55 diff it is simply amazing. Great off the lights and sits on 110 @ just over 2000 rpm and gets there pretty damn quick. So much quieter in the cab is its not revving too high so i look forward to some pretty good fuel saving as well. My main reason for the transplant was to get some extra torque for the hills. What hills?? i took her for a cruise down my local freeway where i usually go and it swallowed the hills like they weren't even there. to say i'm happy with the end result is huuuuge understatement - if you're thinking of this combination for your beddy - you'll be very happy indeed.

mine was in a torana, but it was a mild 202, efi and T700, it was a great combo.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
