CF Bedfords for Sale.
« on: January 27, 2016, 01:25:44 PM »
Best wishes to all for the New Year. I hope yours is going well.
I have decided to sell my Bedfords. Since my partner passed away the projects just dont have the same meaning to me anymore.
You can view some photos in my gallery.
Some of the gallery photo's are there so I'll add some more later tonight for everyone to view.

The one in my profile photo was registered till Jan this year but I missed the rego date by 2 days to pay it & it is now unregistered.
Our Nu-Tart has given us many Klms of joy & has been a solid reliable drive for many years.
2 tonne rated carrying capacity checker plate floor on tray with drop sides. 6 cylinder 202 red motor, manual, aussie 4 speed m20 on gas. Has 2 tanks of 64 litres each plus petrol.

We started to clean our baby up by sanding the roof & tidy up a bit of the standard rust spots. The sunroof was taken out of it so we could sand the roof for a respray but it has never been completed.
There are 2 commodore adjustable seats we had ready to be put in. The original seats are still in there twin seat passenger & original ( need a pillow to sit on) drivers seat ( no back adjustment in these ones.)
It has a heavy duty tow bar & space under the tray to store ramps. (Thats what we used the space for.)

Cleanskin tyres all round & the spare has good tread as well.
She needs another battery probably by now, she's been sitting for a while.

$2300.00 O.B.O.

The other one for sale is the campervan.
I havent had a look yet to see if the gallery has our progress of the build photo's. If they are not there I will post some more for everyone to see.

The campervan has a walkthrough from the cabin to the van, built into it. The seats are standard a swell but there are 2 commodore seats ready to go in.
The cabin is standard Bedford original dash.

There was some typical rust spots that we fixed by cutting them out treating with rust converter & welded new metal into the repaired areas.

A V8 253 with quadrajet carby.
Automatic. Runs & drives well, but once again needs a battery as it hasnt been started since it came. We drove it into place on the front lawn to work on it & there she stays.
The front end has been changed over with a brand new HQ disk brake set up & 14 inch tyres. The old front end is still here too if some one wants/needs one or parts off it or the new owner is welcome to take it.
The campervan has LPG fitted but currently not connected. Standard petrol tank.
The van part has smokey grey opening windows with flyscreens. Also a caravan entry door with folding/slideout side step.
Hayman Reece towbar with towball.

She has had well over $8000.00 spent on her to get to this level, but I am asking a modest $3600.

Both bedfords are located in Frankston North Victoria.

Happy to give out a phone number & address when requested.
Thank you for reading my post. Mark.

Yes wendyh, it is. We loved these beautiful beasts. The trips we had in the Tart were truely memorable. I have a lifetime of stories for old age camp fires.

I'm just in the process of adding some more photo's to the album.
I'll let you know what page, soon as I find it myself..
When in doubt... Give it a clout.

So cool page 9 on the lower end of the page. 5th row.

I have to get you some more up to date photo's though.
The campervan hasnt changed much, but we took out the sunroof on the tray to bring the old girl back to premium. Welded a couple of rusty bits, bought/got the new seats & bit of sanding for a new paint job. Karen took ill just after that so beddy got a tarp over her & sat quietly waiting for some more love.
When in doubt... Give it a clout.

Thanks marty for the kind words.

This is just part of it all, having to decide to let the beddies go but I do need the space they take up right now.
When in doubt... Give it a clout.

Although I don't actually know you Mark, I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I too have been there. I dropped a few projects too when the same happened in my family. If you can keep one to play with, I would recommend it. You'll need these projects and toys to help you get through what's ahead. 5 years on for me, took me a while to get my head right but my projects and toys have sustained me lots.

Regards and best wishes

Beerbeddy

Hi Beerbuddy, nice to meet you my friend & thank you for your support.
We had a lot of plans to go on trips with the campervan & we already had done a lot of trips with the tray truck. Of course we stayed in motels & the like on those trips. Not very comfortable climbing onto the steel tray to try to sleep. (hahaha).

Maybe someone will want or needs parts for their projects. Well these 2 gems are available for that too if need be. Spewin I missed the rego payment by 2 days, it would have been a lot easier to sell registered. It's still a great truck.

I know the vehicle & I am open to getting a roadworthy for it. Maybe some one can use it as a farm vehicle if they want to, she's a great strong worker.
If someone knows an interested party, Im open to suggestions & pricing discussions.
So thats my project for a while. I'm still going to tinker with them both to finish them off when I get the opportunity.
Its summer & the weather isnt too hot to hop inside them for a tidy up.
When in doubt... Give it a clout.

Hi guys & gals. Its been a long time since I was here & I have decided to let these two beddies go to a new home.

(Maybe I should make a new post instead of adding to this one???)

I would like to see if someone has any interest in buying one or both. There are quite a few photo's available in my gallery. (of course they are at least a couple years or so old.)

I can get some newer photos for you & post them when available.

The tray truck is showing increasing signs or rust in the roofline & around the windscreen.
It has a 6 cyl 202 engine on petrol & gas with 2 gas tanks, 4 speed aussie gearbox & had new brakes a couple of years ago.

The campervan is a 253 V8 auto, & has had a brand new HQ from end with disk brakes installed.
I have also got a long list of additional items that will go with the sale of the bedfords including the original front end that was replaced on the Campervan.

If you or someone you know has an interest, feel free to contact me to discuss a viewing.

They are both driveable, I recently moved the tray truck from the back yard ( although they have sat for quite a while ).

Many thanks for your support & companionship over the years. Mark.
