Front end parts needed
« on: October 16, 2016, 09:52:55 AM »
Hi, need some parts for a front end rebuild. Upper and lower suspension arms, both sides & a pair of steering arms that bolt to the spindle. Must be in good condition. I'm in Melbourne. Thanks for any help! This is what happened to the old spindle when I took the front end apart (!!):

after just rebuilding my front end on my cfl
i had 6 pairs of control arms..in my shed that i was saving

on closer inspection...all but 1 pair had hairline cracks in them...

top control arms....crack:
on top side near..bush...thinnest part of arm

lower control arms.... crack: usually where spring sits in recess

im out of stock of arms n steering racks

Yeah, I might contact him this week.. the arms I have now were chromed.. after looking at the spindles, I doubt they were treated for hydrogen embrittlement! I'm using drop spindles from Stubtech & figure I might as well do the whole thing from scratch..
