HOLDEN 202 RED - Engine
« on: September 17, 2015, 07:57:25 PM »
Right then, I'm starting to get a bit more technical with my knowledge now, thanks to my mechanic haha

My Beddy's engine is replaced with a Holden 202 Red 6 Cylinder. The Mechanic is a little bit worried about the future as getting it in and out looks like a complete b@llache... has anybody got this or a similar set up and can give me some pointers? Or stories from experience whether I just get a new engine installed and make my future look a bit brighter?

Thanks!

if your mechanic has a hoist it shouldn't be too big of a deal, just disconnect all the crossmember and such then up with the hoist, the motor and front end stay on the ground if you've gone it right!
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Not too much work, unless the bolts get stuck.. a handy hint is to attach a jockey wheel to the rear of the transmission, then you can just wheel out the whole assembly when the body is lifted.
