Hello all,

I'm new to the forum, but been looking for a short wheel base cf for a daily driver and to do up since my hilux got written off a few months ago due to a stick going through the radiator and then cooking it.  Looking for something i can drive now daily and do up over time.

Missed the one advertised in Torquey advertised on Gumtree which looked pretty much spot on what i was after, and I was wondering if anyone on the forum might have something they are looking to sell?  Looking for something with Barn doors at the rear and side preferably, and my intent was to do a V8 and disc front end conversion.  Would prefer windowless at the rear, but open to whatever is out there.  Also happy to look at interstate options.

If anyone is interested please post or PM me, and thanks for the time.

Cheers

Andrew

Hi all again,

Anyone got any history on this van http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/coomera/cars-vans-utes/bedford-van-cf-1979/1043420642

The price seems a bit steep for what it is, but its close to what I'm after in terms of the van.  Needs a tonne of interior work though.

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Andrew

Hi Andrew
Welcome to BUGA!
Im know that van was up for sale a whie ago, probably early last year  or two yrs ....he may not have got any takers at the price he wants.
As like most of us who have been doing up our vans, we have poured heaps of $$ into them and would want to recoupe as much as we can. Ray & I have poured well over $15k into ours and shes no show pony.
Geniune rust free vans are worth more than some of the rust buckets that do come up for sale.
If your not in a hurry another one may come up as there seems to be a constant trickle of beddies coming up for sale.
ahhhh owhhhhummmm... relying on a 40 year old van for a daily drive is asking a lot of it, unless you have lots of $$ and ur handy with tools or have a friend that is, we have easily done 10 thousands km in ours since we restored it 4 yrs ago, and Ray is always doing something to her, mind you sometimes he like to tinker with different things. Like putting the turbo on the 202.
Anyway thats my 10cents worth and im sure the other bugas will have their turn too!
Good luck  with your search mate!
Cheers Wendy & Ray
