hi guys need an answer to a question asap...   it the engine crossmember which also has steering wrack and  control arms ,springs , shockers etc etc on a short wheelbase  the same size and dimentions as a long wheelbase  one ???? thanks in advance ,.. smashed the one on ol futile bigtime sigh... an have the oppertunity to get one off a lwb one cheap..if they are interchangable ??? cheers skippy :-)

I'm no expert, skippy, but I believe they are all the same. Think about it... The spacing between the chassis rails is universal and that's the critical thing.
Best advice, check it out & measure twice.....

mk1 are all the same, but lwb has a thicker spring and a fatter sub axle
mk2 are the same (apart from spring and stub) as the mk1 except the top mounting plate - which can be changed over

thanks... its just  the crossmember and control arms i need the stubs on mine are hq conversions an hope they are interchangable, mine has a 253 an believe the engine mounts line up ??? .. was going to use them an my springs an shockers ??? put nolethane bushes in ... silly me they worked the bottom control arm loose  n  and a steering arm bolt let go..  :'( hit a concrete block  :'( ,what actually worked an  :o stopped  :o me plunging into port river out torrens island lol... got stuck there for three days so got plenty of fishing in  ::) ;D  ;D

I was wondering whose that was! I work out at Torrens Island and saw you parked up. Thought someone was out there enjoying themselves but the truth's probably a bit different, hey ;D

nah wasnt to bad phull....  ::) had a carton of cider 8) and a girlfriend from darwin  8) there n smokes  8) .. too  so coulda been wurse coulda not beeen a concrete block there n only fishin id have been doing was "ol futile" out the port river :o  ::)  ;D  ;D  ;) finally picked this up for $146.... including heavy duty springs thought ni done well just got to swap em over now .... gotta luv em eh  ???  ???
