BMW's have the same pattern as Commodores which is nearly the same as HQ-WB. But beware there is .5mm difference between the stud pitches and the center boss is different. Broken studs are common when you use the Commodore/BMW style onto HQ as all the load is taken on the studs.

Be careful!!

Hey hammers-spanners can you explain a little more please...
Are the BMW rim pattern larger by .5 mm or is it to do with the nuts having a different pitch/taper on the back of nut?
I have used BMW rims on a 6x4 trailer with HQ pattern because they r 15 inch and stronger than commodor rims, i had been carrying up to 1.4 tonnes on this trailer and rims have done about 10years and lotta miles.

Cheers Lewy

The Commodores are 120mm pcd & HQs are 4.75" (120.65mm) pcd The cnter bosses are different sizes but I cant recall the sizes, will list it later when I find it.

The problem arises when the Commodores are going onto HQ hubs. Because the pcd is smaller the studs get pulled outwards when the nuts are done up. The Commodore has the smaller center boss which can grab on the hub making tightening the nuts a greater strain on the studs. I'm unsure of the boss size on BM's  but if it is not the same as the HQ then all the weight/load of the vehicle/trailer is being carried on the studs only. 5 little studs!!
