Rust converter
« on: July 23, 2013, 05:57:47 PM »
Hi, does anyone know if you can apply fibreglass over a panel that has had rust converter applied, I has seen rust converter used then the panel primed and fiberglass over that, but not sure what the paint used was, maybe (phosphating primer) but does glass stick to this? I know a lot of people use this on the bear metal and lay filler over it, but I like the old way, filler on bare metal well epoxy filler as it is water proof.

Hi Bas,
The rust converter should always be left 24 hrs, then wipe over with wax & grease, light sand usually with 320 grit, right to glass over again! hope that helps ;D
Hammer...check, shifter...check, electrical tape...check, now wheres my #%$@ wallet!??
