Introducing myself "6pac" Perth WA
« on: September 14, 2012, 04:34:15 PM »
I am an newby here so let me introduce myself:
My Name is Rhett and i live in the Northern Suberbs of Perth (ILUKA)

Today Dano, from this forum, knocked on my front door to leave details of this forum as he has seen my Bedford parked outside my house.

I went to this site and had a grin from ear to ear reading some of the posts, brought back memories.
Years ago 1978 I was involved in the car club/van club scene here in WA. Back then I had a HT Panel Van and moved onto a couple of HK monaro's so these are the memories/flashbacks I am having.
Anyhow my Bedford:
It is a 1978 CF bedford Car Carrier.
it still has the origonal 173 and trimatic
It was in bad condition when I got it (rusty and had been sitting for years but was still licensed)
I hunted for a while for one of these as I have and Altered (T-Bucket) I race and was looking for a truck to tow it to the track.
We fitted a big whinch to the tray and a jockey wheel to wind up the tray and it has been custom fit to load the Altered onto and is a one man operation.
We have done some initial body work and she is currentlly in primer and now the warmer weather is here it will get a fresh coat of white to keep her looking good.
Regards

Rhett

PS I will take some photos and post them over the weekend.

Rhett why not "wrap" the truck like the Altered then you'll have a matching pair, you know that there is nothing like a matching pair  ;D ;D ;D
