new carjacking scam....

hi groovers.... just read one of the latest scams in hijacking cars,... theif will place a piece of paper or similar on your back window, when you go to reverse out your spot, you turn see paper ,   into park naturally, an you get out to take paper off rear window, tealeaf appears from nowhere,  jumps in running vehicle,  an nearly runs you over, as they disappear off up the road..      if your a chick, can bet your bag or purse is in there , they have your  house keys to     ... dunno if true, but if you find a piece of whatever stuck on your rear window..... remember skippy,s words of wisdom  .....

i'm seriously thinking of getting GPS tracking in my van... i've heard this sort of thing happen to city council worker, he jumped out to get a witches hat and two youths jumped in and drove off, he hung onto the truck for a few 100 meters before he fell off.

      Yeah its true Skip. I remember telling my oldman about this scam a few years ago.
      Some victim took it upon themself to plaster the the suburb of Coburg in Melbourne with flyers warning about it happening.
      From what l remember the flyer warned people that if you see a peace of paper on your rear window. Grab it before
      entering your car, Have a good look around , Or just ignore it as its not normal tp leave a panphlet or note on the back of your car.
     You expect one under the wiper.
     
       Have not of it happening again . I wonder if its the same gang moving areas until some heat is applied.
