I like the shaved look but then you got to use door poppers and remotes.. not the most practical solution.

Thanks for the ideas guys, lada and something else had the side handle thing too

The other option I've seen around is to just use a key lock in the door (no handle) and the lock itself is pushed in to open and locks to stop it being pushed. Have not seen the system but seen it on a old rod, it must have a cylinder inside or something to stop it being forced.

I actually saw a truck door the other day (think it was from a hino), looked good and slim, and didn't look that big, until i transferred the measurements onto the van door - it was big lol

Maybe just do a Mr Bean - latch and padlock, not paint it and call it a ratrodvan
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

That type of cylinder-push button was used on the first 3-door renault 5's.
It did still have a cut away because you need to grab the door somewhere..

Hi all,
I am using VN handles.  reason is that I got a complete donor V6 for motor and the handles where all there. Relatively easy as I cut the metal around the door handle, the door mechanism off the door and grafted them in the Beddie door and also the catch on the pillar and grafted that in as well.  It makes it easier if you can get the complete door and then everything is there as long as mechanism is ok dosent matter what the panel is like.
Nothing is impossible it just takes a bit longer
Julian
