I don't think they are long enough.

I blew a couple a while ago, and I think I got one from ACW Trucks and a
had another one done somewhere off cantebry road in Kilsyth I think.

I've said it before look at the primary cause of the failure and fix that, then the cables should last forever.

Problems can be Cracked fire wall or worn shifting arm - have a look in the engine/trans section there I explain it in more detail.
