brake peddal rubber pad wanted
« on: February 09, 2012, 10:22:05 PM »
Hello, can anybody tell me where I can source a new brake pedal rubber for a 1977 cfs? I need it for a rego fail, and while it should be easy to find... I can't.

While I am on the topic of shopping for beddie parts, If I want bits for my Subaru I go to a Subaru dealer. If I want bits for my Bedford.... there are no dealers so where should I go?  I have tried generic carpart shops and get told "sorry the listings start at BMW". Does anyone sell Bedford bits?

Thanks for any help.

if you cant find one, as their hard to find

i thought maybe cut the plate off and weld a holden HQ on or something easier to find replacement rubber pads,
holden HQ-WB are easy to find the rubber pads .

not saying to do this but its an idea ive been thinking of.

im going to do this soon.

cheers marty

G'Day there. You won't get brake pedal rubbers...I tried to. I think the number for them was 8828870. But no longer available (don't ya just hate that!). So what I did, the good folks at Repco I think it was, gave me a pack of little Mazda rubbers, which I had to cut to fit....and glued them on. It's done the job well. That's about the best you can do. One must get creative in these instances. I just had a look for the packets with the part numbers, but alas, I think I've since disposed of them.  I can upload a picture of them so you can see. Refer to Gallery page 7, Album 'kerry' (Locomotion). Cheers. (The Mazda one's were only about $3.00)

"Don Kyatt Truck & Bedford Parts"  172 Roden Street, West Melbourne. Ph: 9329 98200. I bought probably the last genuine ball joints, and they are fast running out of Bedford parts. But you can always ask there. But be warned: Parts can be super expensive. Cheers, Kerry.

I bought a set (brake and clutch) from Adrian Bailey classics in the UK last year. Looked back on my records and cost worked out to about NZ$30, but that was with a whole lot of other parts, so I split the postage percentage wise across all of the parts. Adrian's email address is adrian@roverland.eu. I've dealt with him a couple of times and have found him to be prompt, knowledgable and reliable.
