6 cylinder engine mount brackets
« on: August 26, 2011, 08:29:13 PM »
While working on one of my vans today I discovered that there is a difference in the engine mount brackets one
being slightly bigger than the other.

Would anyone know which side is which?

I found that the bigger of the two brackets is needed to be on the left side (passenger’s side) to fit the twin
Stromberg’s but was the other way round running the single carb. It seemed not to have any issues either way.

 ???
And you thought owning a bedford was going to be easy.

two vans out back and both with the same issue.

theres not much different but does move the motor across about 25mm depending on which side you put them on.
being the age of the vans and the possiblity of many owners, the engine mount brackets could be from another vehicle
I just thought it was funny both vans had the same brackets.
