window louvers?
« on: August 20, 2013, 10:43:15 PM »
Anyone know where you can get a set of rear window louvers for a Bedford? or any idea if the dodge ones would fit? Ive always liked the look of them on vans. I should stop being lazy and go measure the window myself but never know someone on here may have experience with fitting them before.

I`ve fitted louvers to the back of my camper.  Not to the doors but across the back opening .  I have a bed across the back so it`s not practical to enter the van there , just use the side door.  I built a shelf across the opening Just below the door window height and attached a `Spotlight `venetian blind across the top ( had to cut the width of the blind to suit and remove most of the louvers ) .  It looks and works real good . And all for less than $20  :) .
Not sure how long it`ll last till it all falls apart though .  It may not be able to handle much vibration .
When I open the back doors I can access storeage under the bed and raise the venetian all the way up if need be.
Might be easier trying to explain this if I bung a pic or 2on here showing it . Will see what I can do  :)
Cheers, Bob.
