Introduce Myself
« on: May 20, 2011, 05:29:49 PM »
G'Day all,
Not sure if I entered this the right way or not, ie. "new thread" or whatever.
Anyways, My name is Richard, 42yrs old electrician, living near Singleton NSW, formally from Cessnock NSW.
I previously has a Flat Black SWB Beddy in August 2003, picks are in the "Melrich" gallery. (Melissa is my fiance).
Sold that one and got a reliable Hiace Van to carry my dirt bikes around. Dirt bikes and Hiace have long gone now, and it was time to get back in a Bedford. ;D
Just recently bought the Black Bedford from Jjeff, can't wait to get her home.
I used to be a member of BUGA some years ago, but email & logins are long forgotten, alzheimer's is setting in already I think, or maybe the beer is...lol
So it was awesome to see the site still up and running, I have since now rejoined.
Anyway enuf of boring you all.
Thanks, take care & talk soon.
Cheers

hey big gday to you both, look forward to reading future posts on your current beddie project. I am returning to building after 18 years in emergency services and re equipping myself in the process, considered a variety of work utes, 4 x 4 and vans. was very tempted by those big flash shiny alloy tool boxes the tradies are cartimg around. My only private work vehicle has always been a beddie so commonn sense has prevailed and now refitting it as work van. you won't be dissapointed ... well not tilll you break down, or the sun roof leaks or sweaty bot bot on a hot day or crappy windscreen wipers or realise the comfort of power steering or crappy lucas wiring or pools of water from the windcreen or engine over heating or ..... geez shuddup Ed you're convincing yourself to get a shiny tool box carrier again  ;D
ekm ...... never lead with your chin, let others lead with theirs

gday rich im so jealous of u i saw that beddy for sale looks mint how good is it in real life?  how does it drive? will be interested in your fuel economy. when i rang that andrew guy selling it for jeff he said you and another were already gonna look at it the next day and being from melbs i had no chance.
i asked him to let me know what you guys offered for it and that i would beat it but didnt hear from him again. i texted him later asking why he didnt let me know so he could make more money for his mate and he said he didnt give a shit and sold it for 4000?  is this true? i wouldve paid the 5!!!  lucky for you i guess..  well ill just have to get mine done or wait for another good one like that. take it easy mate. hope it was a good buy for ya...
