beddy cyclist deterent..
« on: October 22, 2012, 08:26:45 PM »
hey ... last easter i had a kamikaze cyclist, hell bent on ignoring all the stop an keep clear signs ,resulting  with  him running head on at bout 25kms  :o smack bang  :o into the middle of my side door  ???  ???  ???  ::) ...sigh.....  ::) he was alright...  ::) sort of  ::) ...dropped him off at hospital!!!  :-\ ...whole  :'( door side  caved in,  :'( thankfully most of it popped out again...  :-* (thank u mouse)  :-* ... but was  :'( rippled and an unmistakable dent in the shape of a head remained under the doorhandle....  :'( how can i repair that with out major headf@%k & lots of $$, i pondered.... (1st  8) thought)...with a mural!!of course....(2nd  8) thought)... how can i possibly deter further cyclists feeling the urge to kiss my beddy with such impacting passion???? this is what i came up with,  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  an it hides the damage a treat..  ;) i kept theme with the star trek mural on the back, tho one really has to be a "trekkie" to fully understand its concept...  ::) lol i,ll let u know how it works..  ::)
I,d rather sell my...mum,....than my bedford!!

yeah ive seen cyclists go throuigh red lights, straight through stop signs u name it.
they even abuse us rego,d vehicles!
they should pay rego, abide by the rules  or get the F$@k off the roads i recon

right on mty  ;) this guy was  :o flying down  :o the inside lane of stationary traffic ,waiting for the lights to change, an i was comin across a keep clear intersection, actually was waved across by a guy in a tranny van lol..(set me up, or what, eh  ???  ??? ) was rainin, an 9am on a fri morn in preston... still can see the  "ghastly expression" on his face, n desperatly applying of the brakes (not a chance in hell of actually  pulling up ) just before imprinting his face into my door, very lucky for him the collapsing of the doorskin actually cushioned his impact, had he hit a couple of inches either  left or right of that spot  he would have encountered either a very solid pillar.... (no "give" there  ;D ) or a 100 ltre gas tank.. ( no "give" there either  ;D ) so was lucky i could drop him off at heidy hospital.... cheeky bastard tried to blame me for it too!!!  he said to me...ive been cycling this way to work for 12 years  with never being hit by a car before!! i looked at him square in the eye with this expression on my face  ??? an said, ive been driving for 37 years an never had a cyclist run into the side of my van in a keep clear intersection, EVER!!.... he went very quiet after that,! lucky for him  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D to be a cyclist , i imagine, one  has to possess a certain amount of pious arrogance it seems ...

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you entered that lane from a side road or driveway you are at fault (waved out or not).
If that traffic was not there would you have had to give way to him or if it was a car or motorbike would you have had to give way.
Don't get me wrong, I hate cyclists as much as the next guy but..............
If you like it do it, If you like it a lot do it a lot!

maybe different in vic, as cops called me a few days later an said that they were not going to prosecute, due to the fact that he entered a keep clear quadrant marked on the road when all other vehicles were stationary  ???  ???  ??? dunno  ::) sounded good  to me but  ;)  :D

May be they should have a motor with loud exhaust pipes, so at least you can hear the mungrels coming. (thats if the stereo isn't to loud) ::)
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer

they should pay rego to use the roads, put little numberplates on their bikes so they can be booked for going through red lights etc.
be accountable for their actions like we are.
either pay rego and insurance like we have to or ride on the foot paths.
and stay off the roads and out of our way
