SWB for sale (soon)
« on: June 19, 2010, 08:07:09 PM »
I'm ready to part with a much loved (and much cursed ;)) friend.
I used to do markets with my woodwork, but they seem to be very quite lately (last few years),and i used to have as much time as i needed to fiddle with my beddy.
Now i have a job and it's winter and i can't be bothered (a garage that it fitted in would be nice).
I'm keeping the LWB (because it's worthless till i get it fixed up ???)

I've had her for 5 years( ???)and i paid way too much because almost everything was shot.
I've added
A new diff from 'transdiff'
New spring shackles
Replace springs
Replaced universals and drive shaft
Reconditioned Trimatic
Replaced the engine (186 with yellaterra and extractors)
New wheel bearings
New shocks
All new bushes
5 one tonne rims and LT truck tyres
Steering rack rebuilt from 3 donor racks
New steering bush
New starter motor
Replaced the speedo many times till i got a good one
Painted Toxic green (have enough paint to do more)
Bog around the wheel arches
Almost none at gutter (one spot fixed 3 years ago and looking great)
All new ball joints (400km ago)
New pads on my bench
Twin thermos
Three core radiator (5 years old now)

Photos to follow

I'm thinking EBay, so i'll let you know as soon as i decide which sh1tbox with a decent demister will do the job

 :-[
I might have been a bit premature.
Got drunk and then spent hours on ebay trying to find something else, but i don't want another crapheap although replacing the new faulty coil has made me much happier.
Took one of the back doors off and bent the body back to shape, welded up the holes and i now have one door that opens easily.
It will be for sale but not till i get the LWB up and running and that, as you can see, will be a while

sorry bout that
