Ok ...Well i had better put my dumb ass story up
It happened whilst i was putting up the first of 5 trusses for my workshop that i am building. I got up on my ladder and was about to drill the first hole to bolt the end of the truss to the top of the post. Now because the bolt was a decent size, i decided to drill a "pilot" hole first ,no probs , Then i put in the "big bastard" $58.00 super steel bit and started to drill.
Everything was going great until it was just about through, then bang!! the drill jammed in the steel. Now...As the drill was pulled out of my hands, it spun round wrenching my thumb and smaking the back of my other hand, and at the same time, pressing in the small button near the trigger which will hold it on. So i had an electric drill spinning madly around and winding up the cord around it like a bloody ball of string. Lucky for me it pulled the extension cord apart and stopped.
So there i am standing on top of my ladder swearing profanities at the drill, nursing sprained and bleeding hands. And to top it off,as i was attempting to extract the drill from the hole i broke my brand new drill bit and blew $58 bucks!!!!
