Yea Stevo pictures would be great help. So will I need a double diaphram for a V8. Why does it make a difference what engine size I have? Does the LJ Torana booster come in double diaphram?
Thanks mate.

hey brad, when i put my torana booster in, i had to shorten the shaft that pins on to the pedal, drill a new hole for that pin aswell. i took my clip off the top of the resevoir and clamped it down with two hose clamps so the bonnet would shut, it takes screwdriver or 8mm or 5/16 spanner to check the brake fluid level .
if my beddy master wasnt ruined beyond repair ,i would've got it fixed
on one hand its kinda simple to do torana, just fiddly, but if its just seals or even re-sleaving you need, i'd go with that

hey hunter, i had to take about an inch off
i got the torana advice off the old buga forum but no-one mentioned having to shorten anything, so i was a bit nervous and confused when i did it as everyone said it'll go straight in
mine's a swb, is yours a lwb, are the cabs the same?

Does the LJ Torana booster come in double diaphram?
Thanks mate.

there was a double diaphram but only in the XU1 so are scarce and expensive, $250 to $300
the LH/LX  had one as well in the V8s and would be more avaliable
if using LC/LJ booster be careful mixing master cylinders as the push rod between  the booster and master is a different length, could be a concern with beddy master

when i did my 4 wheel disc conversion i used an lj booster with lh master, the booster had an adjustable push rod which was just a matter of trial and error when adjusting to get a good brake pedal. got an issue with the master hitting the bonnet tho.

xb master with lj booster is the way to go

hey guys been searching a bit for brake boosters and masters found some good new ones but was looking at 8" dual Diaphragm booster and master but found out they are all too long for the beddy. Will the braking work just as good if I were to use say an 9" or 11" single diaphragm booster for my V8?
