ROTHU????? 3 Core radiator
« on: August 19, 2009, 08:38:50 PM »
Hey Rothu you mentioned you fitted the larger commodore 3 core radiator to your beddy. What model was it from and was it a 6 or a V8.
Cheers Wayne

It was a 3 core cross flow from a 6 cylinder later model commodore. I originally got a 2 core cross flow from Centre Road Wreckers which worked fine even through the summer, and I've still got that if you want it.
The 3 core I got off ebay from a guy who was wrecking a commodore. Dunno which one. It's basically brand new.
It just fits in at 670mm wide. Make sure the hose outlets are on the right sides!
I had to separate the wire loom to move it up out of the way of the radiator.
I also cut a section of the plate that is in front of the radiator which is the entire reason for Bedfords overheating.
1976 SWB CF, 186 block, LPG customised VK EFI self ported Head, LPG converted Ram tube manifold, Extractors, Supra 5 speed, Falcon hwy Diff, HQ Disc brakes, Commodore 3 core cross-flow radiator, HEI, 90 litre LPG.
It can drive up a wall in 5th gear and across the Sun without overheating!

O.K. how much do you want for the 2 core radiator as mine is shot and has to be replaced anyway?
Cheers Wayne
