knobs knockers and illumination
« on: May 28, 2009, 09:20:06 PM »
I thought id share some of the stuff im planning to include in the build on Silverado.

Enjoy

The door handles

A selection of hood ornaments, I will likely use the stallion, the wings light up, but the angry convoy duck is briiliant.

The dash knobs

The retro LED tail lights, in the pic these look like a wrap around, but they are basicly flat, just V shaped.

For some of the interior finnish im looking at maybe using some classic burled walnut "the dark one"

Oh yeah and i already have a pair of these big ass truck air horns, but it might be overkill eh

Those are only some ideas I have to date, now dont go thinking this is all gonna happen over night because it aint, this will be a long term project but I may import some of this stuff early on while the dollar is still reasonable.
Most of these items im having to bring from the US, so if anyone is interested in some of these items let me know.
Im also looking at  man made leather and real cow hide for some of the interior, but like all good retro custom vans, it has to have some crushed velour in there some place.

Should be fun
