Looks like the vans were caught out at low tide. Not a very well thought out location and like Wendy said, really hope that is fresh water.

That dark grey van (middle pic of the water ones), has a lot of mods done to it, yet looking at it,  it looks like a plain custom pop top. Things like the side door has been extended down into the sill while still looking factory, is well engineered. A lot of these mods and smaller ones never get a mention because flares and spoilers stand out more
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"
