We had the same problem - we tried heat, bashing the crappa out of it,  and eventually soaking the joint for a week in penatrol,  ended up using  a big wrench with a 4ft long piece of pipe on the end before it shifted...by then the pin was stuffed but out,,,,we had the front end out at the time...
