hey Hammers, howza goin? picking it up in about half an hour, matt black, windowless, rear door welded up, reco 253, been under a carport for the past 5 years, don't know the extent of rust as its had a respray but there are cracks in places appearing, gutters have been repaired, roof looks good, straight panels all round. Its got newly painted (red) 12 slot wheels 14" (yuck) so they are the first things to go replaced by the cragars, interior is not decked out as advertised, just has some 70ish style panelling. I would like to cut the welds and make a one piece lift up rear door, the engineers cert convinced me in the end, gives the option of putting in a 308, oh the missus wants it painted white .... I'll post some pics when I can,  cheers Eddy MAC p.s. I'll let you know how much I paid for it when its sitting in my driveway  ;)

$2300 for the van in Warrandyte, now parked in the driveway, typical beddie, broke down 4 times getting it home missuss still pissed off that I'm back to buying and working on bedddies :P seller recons that the motor is recoed, dunno although the motor seems tight, think its electrical prob, no electrics to the dash or lights. The 1st break down was due to no fuel (300 metres from a petrol station), evident that its been sitting still for a while, rubber caps in the master cylinder are ratcrap, choke was stuck on flooded the carbie which is all loose and crap, heard a grinding sound each time I went around a corner with the weight transfer sounds like the diff wheel bearings, brakes leaking, and the biggest prob  ..... it comes with a very short oil dipstick, I had to crawl under the van to check the damn oil!!!! topped up the radiator then the van stalled at a roundabout and threw coolant every where, thought I had a busted hose but was only over fill. can't find the switch to put her on gas. The seats are on swivel bases to face the rear but are way too low for me, the clutch pedal is that high off the floor its nearly in the windscreen, typical aussie box with the usual loose shifter, radiator doesn't look big enough although it does have twin thermos. Interior needs gutting and burying. Lot of work to get her right but all in all a good van for the price. Too dark to take pics ( geez it seems like only yesterday that I was driving the campa in comfort with no dramas, oh well back to the future again))

thanks johnno, certainly was an adventure getting her home, looks alot better today now that its sitting in the Court taking up more parking space, reckon the nieghbours are getting a bit brassed off with the macca family, we currently have five cars parked at the bowl of the court, probably better than the nine cars we had at our old address  :P, hopefully start on it this weekend weather permitting, too muggy at the moment, cheers .... eddy MAC
