NZ Old School Burger Night
« on: November 20, 2014, 05:36:10 AM »
Last night's Old School burger night here in Auckland saw 6 vans in attendance. In addition to Stuey and I there was Denham with his Bedford and two Transits - a 302 powered MK1 and a Holden V6 powered MK2. The last van was a good looking Escort MK2.

Nice one Gordon. Those two transits look pretty cool dare I say it.

I hope you enlightened all these vanners about the club and the Van Nationals or are they not interested in getting involved?

Cheers,
Garry.

Oh, forgot to mention the Holden Combo that was hiding away in the corner. Not really an oldschool ride, but a van none the less.

I still recon bedford has the best body shape of all the big vans.

Hi Garry, both gents own two Transits each plus an Escort panelvan each so they appear to be hard core vanners. I got confused earlier as the MK2 in the picture is his daily work hack that is running standard Ford power. Its his other van that is running the Holden V6. I'll be sure to mention the Nationals to them next time we catch up.

Sounds good Gordon. Let me know when you're attending any more of these nights, or other outings around town and I'll come along. The van won't be back on the road until about March but would be keen to come along and spot the talent so to speak ;D ;D. Any excuse to catch up with fellow vanners.

Cheers,
Garry.

Garry, you are always welcome. Our next outing is Caffeine and Classics at Smales Farm next Sunday. We get there around 10:00am. Last  month there were around 400 vehicles of all shapes and forms there. Hopefully the Transit fellows will be there too.

Garry, if I turn up, do you still have my Tee shirt, if not no problems, if I wear it it might motivate me to work on the van... THAT IS IF I HAVE TIME..
