check out VW's they have a mint set up for retractable seat to bed, should be able to get the seat belts too, are a litttle narrow for the beddie , but an excellent concept.
Can I go play now...?

Have a look here at my solution.

Boris's Back Seats

The VW route would make fitting of the seat belts easier though.

Hey John

Not sure what year, Mid to late eighties I think, I also think the Spectron was a rebadged Mazda.

If I remember correctly I paid about $150-200 for both seats and all the fittings from a local wreckers.

It's worth having a look around for them.

There is a few things I would do differently if the van was being fully rebuilt, narrow the tops of the wheel wells by 15 to 20 mm, and weld in threaded slugs for the seat and seatbelt anchorages.

But otherwise its pretty straight forward.

nah she'll come up with work eh..

i love the idea of turning a rust bucket into what ever i can imagine!!

just takes lots of time.. i cant belive how much time ive spent on black beddy and its soo far from where i want it.. actually sometimes i wish i had have put all new parts into it instead of all second hand parts like i did.. would have been just as easy.. ne way. next van ive got coming up ill do that,
