here are some pics
first pic shows the angle the outside cog can achieve
second pic shows how the movement affects the internal locking mechanism

this pic is really crap, hard to try focus
what i was trying to highlight is the "neck" on the bracket thats worn, allowing for the movement

Probably best to look for a good second hand unit.

put a spot of weld on the nipple, clamp it first

i was thinking the same as both you guys....shes rooted....then i dont want it to beat me
try to make a collar or something to restrict movement of nipple
