I just went to the Rare Spares website and they have a "contact us" option for something you'd like to see made.
I copied the part number from the english website and sent them an enquiry.

Give it a go and if we all send in a request then we might get lucky...

I want 4 as well, why don't we see who else wants them and we can get a bulk order together and just ship them from England? Splitting shipping costs across each item will make it a lot more affordable.

Before you all get to excited have you thought about attaching them? Originals are machine rivited, nut and bolt wont work (to bulky) and normal pop rivit isn't strong enough. Can't be welded as is sprung steel.

Ideally they need to be machine rivited: anyone a boat builer? you might (a really big might) be able to spot weld them with a proper spot welder not a mig/tig/arc or gas.

I think I still have an old hinge in bits if anyone wants to see it

Well there you go......in one foul swoop Busy has managed to poo poo our lucrative import business simply by using the art of common sense! Damn you Busy, damn you.......

I went through all this some years ago, destoryed 2 trying to get it to work - learnt the hard way you can't weld them and am pretty sure the bolt hit the inner pillar.

A gutter bolt might work, but would have to lock tight it and grind down the thread by the nut.
I'll take some photos tomorrow and who knows we might even be able to solve this

There are several problems with fitting the springs. The main one is clearance- the back of the hinge is fairly tight against the frame. I know this cos I just spent an hour grinding out the neat strengthening plate I put in that corner. 
Therefore you would need to weld a very thin headed bolt on the inside of the hinge, add the spring..... and then bash the c**p out of the bolt (or use a bearing press) to spread the head and grind down to suit.

Unless you can find some old-fashioned blind rivets. Haven't seen any in years.
