Sealing old revit holes
« on: June 14, 2013, 08:26:31 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have been searching but havent been able to find any answers. Today i took out the old board on the back of the van so i can clean under it, sand it down and insert it again and lay carpet over it. It had pop rivets holding it. After the horrible job of removing them, I am wondering what I can do to stop the holes where the revit pins were from starting to rust?

Thanks very much
Waseem

paint or otherwise seal any bare metal surfaces. If your concerned with water getting in through the holes then seal them up with a clking compound (after youve painted them).

several options, use metal screws to re install floor(you can dip them with wax), tin snip little plates and glue with a silaflex type bond adhesive , weld of coarse, re rivet with larger rivets, but all in all once the floor is refitted, simply coat the fitting you use, either paint and or under body sealer/ it also is a sound deadner. Dano.
Can I go play now...?
